General Communication Inc. or in short GCI is an Alaska-based telecommunication company. GCI offers several services, such as internet access, cable television service, wireline, cellular telephone service, etc. This public company was first started back in the year 1979 by Bob Walp and Ron Duncan. The headquarter of GCI is located in Anchorage. In 2015, the Qurate Retail Group owns the GCI company. Currently, they are working on improving their services in rural areas of Alaska.
How to Pay GCI Bill:
There are several payment methods available to pay your GCI bill. You can choose to pay your bill online, by mail, or in person. You can follow any method as mentioned below.
Pay GCI Bill via Online Method:
You can pay your GCI bill via the online method. This is one of the easiest ways to make your payment. To make the payment, you have to sign up first. If you already complete your sign-up process, you will have your MyGCI Username and MyGCI Password. If you have your login credentials with you, then follow these instructions below:
- First, you have to visit this link login.gci.com.
- Then, you need to provide your MyGCI Username and MyGCI Password on the given fields.
- After that, you just need to click on the login button.
- Then, log in to your account, you can make the payment for the GCI bill.
Pay GCI Bill in Store:
You can also make the payment for the GCI bill, at any of your nearest GCI stores. You can use your personal check, credit card, debit card, or cash to make the payment. To pay your GCI bill, you have to find your nearest GCI locations. You can follow these instructions below to find your nearest GCI store locations:
- First, you have to visit the official website of the GCI.
- Or, you can simply click on this link www.gci.com, for direct access to the website.
- Then, on the top of the page, click on the Your Location option.
- Enter your city name on the given field and click on the Update option.
- It will show you your nearest GCI store locations, where you can make the payment.
Pay GCI Bill by Phone:
GCI also allow the customers to pay their bill over the phone. If you live in Anchorage, then you have to call at 265-5400 or nationwide call at 1-800-800-4800. After calling on this number, you have to follow the on-call instructions to complete the payment. You can use your credit card or debit card, checking or savings account, check, and GCI gift card to pay your bill. While calling on this number, keep a copy of the invoice or account number handy. You will also require a CPNI number to make the payment.
Pay GCI Bill by Mail:
You will also get the chance to pay your GCI bill by mail. You can send your personal check or money order to pay your bill. But before sending the mail, make sure that you have enough time to make the payment. You have to send your funds to this address below:

Pay GCI Bill by AutoPay:
With AutoPay, you don’t have to worry about the GCI bill payment monthly. The bill amount will automatically be deducted from your financial institute every month. So, you will never miss a bill payment with the AutoPay. In order to set up the AutoPay service, you have to follow these instructions below:
- First, you have to visit this link login.gci.com
- Then, provide your MyGCI Username and MyGCI Password on the respected fields.
- After that, you just need to click on the login button.
- Then, from the Overview or Billing tab, you have to turn on the AutoPay service.
- If already have not added a payment method, then you have to create a payment method.
- On the next page, you have to provide your credit card details or bank account details.
- After filling out all required fields, simply click on the Save button.
- Once your information has been successfully submitted, you need to click on Return To AutoPay option.
- Then, you will be redirected to the AutoPay manage page and turn on the AutoPay service.
How the Penalty Fees Work:
- Termination Fee: If you cancel your contract, then you have to return the equipment, otherwise you will be charged up to $2000.
- Late Payment Fee: If cannot pay your GCI bill by the due date, you have to pay the late payment fees.
- Installation Fee: You also have to pay a one-time payment of $100.
What If You Can’t Pay the Bill:
If you can’t pay your GCI bill by the due date, you have to contact customer service. GCI offers low-cost service to low-income customers. Every eligible low-income customer will receive the phone service for $1. In this service, you will get caller ID, call waiting, text messaging, and voice mail.
